Student Athlete Team

Overview

We support young western athletes through our annual Student Athlete Team. Each year, 25 student athletes are selected through a two‑part process: 20 chosen internally and 5 chosen by public vote.

Who Should Apply

  • Middle school through college students
  • Actively competing in a western discipline
  • Positive role models on and off the dirt
  • Willing to follow simple posting and team guidelines

Timeline

  • Applications open: NOW
  • Applications close: July 26, 2026
  • Team announced (20 selected internally): August 3, 2026
  • Public vote for final 5: August 10–16, 2026

How Selection Works

  • Internal Review: After applications close, our team selects 20 athletes.
  • Public Vote: The remaining 5 spots are decided by a community vote on our channels.

  • Short essay: Why you’re a great fit
  • Accomplishments and goals
  • Headshot and competition photo (links or uploads)
  • Letter of recommendation (PDF)
  • 60–90 second video introduction (link)

  • Submit before the deadline.

Public Vote

  • Voting opens after the first 20 athletes are announced.
  • Community can cast votes to help choose the final 5.
